Mandala's meaning The meaning of the word mandala in Sanskrit is circle. Mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Buddhism and Hinduism , representing the universe. The circular designs signifies the idea that life is not ending and everything is connected. The mandala also represents spiritual journey within the individual viewer. So the very first level is understanding that the motto in cosmos and second each person must find their place within it. It's sometimes drawn as a circle surrounding a square using a deity on each side that's mainly utilized to assist in yoga and meditation. Mandalas have many applications apart from meditation as the the designs are supposed to remove irritating thoughts and permit the creative mind to run free in addition to relaxation. How to use this mandalas in meditation The primary usage for mandalas is to obtain knowledge from within. The mandalas are symbolic images that when meditated on may bring deep inner transformation. So the first step is to select a mandala that strongly appeals to you. You then focus on the intention that you need to bring into your own life and take in the beautiful design of the mandala by softly looking in the plan. If your mind begins to think about daily stresses only bring your attention back to the beauty of this mandala. The beauty of the mandala should absorb all of your attention by being draw to the designs and colors. Gradually you will feel more relaxed and a sense of lightness and intuitive thoughts may emerge. Allow yourself to float onto it and when your ideas begins to drift just relax and refocus your focus back on the mandala. The first time you meditate on mandala it is enough with 5 minutes and slowly build it up to 15 minutes as you get more experience. To draw on mandalas 1. Draw a circle on a sheet of paper using a compass or drawing around a round object such as a small plate or a mug. Locate the center of the mandala and draw a horizontal and vertical line through the middle. It's possible to keep cutting on the circle into pies based on the number of points you would like to increase the mandala. 2. As soon as you have divided the circle into 8 elements in this situation (but you can slice the circle into more components for more detailed layouts ) you draw a bigger center circle and much more circles out of it that does not absolutely need to be circular. They can be straight lines joining together with equal distance from the center. It's possible to add as many inner circles as you like depending on the design you decide to draw. Within each different layer or circle you might also add different shapes like blossom, squares, hearts or whatever shape comes into your mind. 3. The lines and circles that you started off with can later be erased if you choose to add unique shapes - but they're helpful as a guide when you begin drawing on the mandala.
