Ossa, brief for Orpheo Sincronic Sociedad Anónima, was a Spanish bike maker best known for light-weight bikes. Following the Spanish Civil War destroyed a lot of the Spanish market in the late 1930s, several Spaniards have been in need of inexpensive transport. Ossa's creator, Manuel Giro, along with some other engineers started designing and creating a bike that will fit these high requirements.
The very first of Ossa bikes premiered in 1949. It had a 125cc motor along with three-speed gearbox, and might float at 47mph. About 14,000 of those red bikes were sold in only a couple of decades. Other versions were shortly released, however, the maximum production peak would not come before the 1960s, following Manuel Giro's son Eduardo shot over.
